Ghosts can be found anywhere you look. Some are bound to one place while other are just passing through. But why are they here? Well thats a question that nobody can really answer. However there are plenty of theories. One theory is that all the materials around us, like brick, wood, glass and stone, have the capability to record motion images like video tape. These images can be replyed over and over again. This type of ghost is more than likely completly unaware of anyone else being there, just like watching a video, you can't interact with them. This is called the stone take theory and is widely belived throughout the world.
But if they are just recorded images, they would not have the power to physically move things. This is where other theories come in. Some paranormal investigators like to believe the unfinished bisuness theory. This means that before the body of the ghost dies they had something really important to do. It is offen said that a soul cannot rest with something on its mind and so they will not move on until the problem is resolved.
Then there is the most disturbing theory, the theory that the ghost doesn't know that it is dead. There has been several recorded case where a spirit has been contacted by a medium and asked if the knew that they were dead. The result is almost always the same in that the spirits become very angry and sometimes violent. This is where poltergeists come from. The word German poltergeist translates in English to 'Noisy Spirit'. Sometime a ghost may think that they are still alive a you are living in THEIR home. The ghost might try and drive you away by throwing things at you or moving things about. You would try and drive someone out if they invaded your house.
Ghosts have been seen in all different shapes and sizes. Depending on the energy supply to the ghost, they can appear in four different stages, and they are as follows...
Manifestation Stages
Stage 1 – Orb / Energy Genesis
Stage 2 – Energy Vortex
Stage 3 – Ectoplasm Formation
Stage 4 – Full Manifestation / Materialisation
Stage 1 Appearance – Orbs or Energy Genesis are spherical in shape and range in various different colours. The most common colour seen is white with blue as a close second. Black is believed to be an evil spirit while red is said to be quite calming. Orbs have also been seen in orange, grey, green and purple. Orbs have been seen in sizes ranging from very small to incredibly large and have be caught on video moving at great speed. The orb is by far the most common of the four stages and is rarely seen by the naked eye, but not unheard of. They are usually caught on camera or film. A ghost can be seen at this level of manifestation when the energy supply is minimal. Orbs appear to be solid in the middle and more translucent at the edges. Orbs or Energy Genesis are also sometimes known as ghost light and has never shown any signs of intelligence.
Stage 2 Appearance – Stage 2 of ghost manifestation is less common than the first stage but is also rarely seen with naked eye. Again it is usually captured on camera or film. A ghost reaches stage 2 when the energy supply is more substantial. The appearance is drastically different from stage 1. The Energy Vortex looks a little like you would expect it to according to its name. It is a series of cylindrical shapes coming off a light, solid base and usually seen to move in an upward direction. Like the first stage it has appeared in a range of colours. However this time, grey is the more common. Again, black is said to be an evil presents. The Energy Vortex has also been seen in white, orange, red, blue, green and purple.
At this stage of manifestation, signs of intelligence have been detected by a medium who asked permission to take a picture of is. The first picture he took was outside a building. The medium then asked the spirit to follow him inside where he took another picture and the same thing showed up on his camera.
Stage 3 Appearance – At this stage, signs of intelligence are apparent. This level of manifestation has a reasonably high energy supply and has the ability to move object, bang or make noises and has even been know to verbally communicate. Ectoplasm Formation can be seen with the naked eye a lot easier than stages 1 and 2. Stage 3 takes on a smoke like form and has been seen in number of different shapes and size. Many people have claimed to see a cloud like object floating around a room. This stage can also take on more recognisable form. Some people have claimed to see a mist like human figure walking around a house and even through walls. Ectoplasm Formation can still appear in various different colours but like stage 2, grey is the most common. Stage 3 has also been seen in black, white, orange and blue. At this stage of manifestation, the Ectoplasm Formation is rarely seen to be solid. It usually takes on a semi-translucent appearance.
Stage 4 Appearance – This is when the energy supply is at it’s greatest. The intelligence level is higher than any other stage. At full materialisation, the ghost can move objects, bang or make noises, verbally communicate, cause electrical faults, physically touch a sentient person or even possess them. Stage 4 of manifestation is seen with the naked eye very easily and clearly. This takes on the most recognisable form of all. It can be seen as a human being or an animal. There have even been reports of inanimate ghosts being seen, such like trains or a plane. All stage 4 ghosts are seen to be completely solid as if they are just a normal living person, although some have been seen to be missing limbs. These ghosts have also been known to cause physical harm to the living. In a number of cases scratches have appeared on the arms and faces of someone who lives in a haunted house, usually a male member of the household but not always. Poltergeist activity is also common with stage 4 of the manifestation.
